It looks like the recap episode was to trying to grab more of an audience for this season; the show isn't doing so well in the ratings. For those of us who have been watching all along, very little was added in the way of clues. One of the constant themes was the failing coalitions. It may have helped the few new fans of the show, but for the rest of us it was a giant snorefest. For a clip show, it's quite obvious that the editors are having a hard time finding good material. I'm not surprised that it is losing in the ratings to repeats of "CSI: Miami."Mission #1:
The players had to find missing bottles of wine by answering brain teaser questions and matching the answers to the coordinates of the missing bottles. Not much in the way of clues, except that Dr. Nicole avoided answering the questions. Mark threw off some suspicion by not only doing the physically intense part of the challenge, but also answering a bunch of the questions. Beyond some arguing between Paul and Nicole, this mission was a complete bust for entertainment.
$70,000 was added to the pot. Paul did read the wrong coordinates, but who knows whether it was on purpose or not.
Mission #2
Who says jumping off a bridge is a bad idea? The contestants got the option of earning some fat cash by jumping off a plank backwards. Oh, and the plank was dangling off a 90-foot bridge. Their goal was to throw a bean bag-like object into a target on the ground.
Only $4,000 was added to the pot during this competition. From a clue standpoint, this mission was a bust. The mole would have had a hard time sabotaging hitting a target after jumping off a bridge.
The total pot for the winner stands at $251,000 at the end of this episode.
In the interlude between missions, Clay and Mark's coalition decided to get Alex drunk before the next quiz. Finally, some strategy. Too bad it was an incredibly lame idea. Clay tried to stick with the plan, giving Alex wine during dinner prior to the quiz. Since Alex was the one who was executed, did the plan work? Mark still did not sway my suspicion that he's the mole. He needs to back off the sabotage after the last challenge regardless of whether he's the mole or not.
