One of the great summertime traditions around Salem is the Art Fair and Festival that comes around every July. Not only is it an interesting collection of regional artists and a smorgasbord of good food but there usually tends to be some great music on tap, too.
Running from July 20 to 22, the fair will bring in soul veteran Bettye LaVette, as well as some notable Portland acts, like Stephanie Schneiderman, Rose City Kings and David Milne. We're especially excited about the appearance of Shanghai Woolies, an offshoot from Pink Martini that puts on a great show. Also, be on the lookout for local act Darren Johnson Effort, who'll be out there on Saturday afternoon.
