Fringe benefitsFOX has a bad track record of keeping shows around long enough to succeed. See "Firefly", "Drive", "Tru Calling", or "Wonderfalls" for prime examples. Nevertheless, tomorrow, FOX is taking another chance on a scripted high-concept show. But this one stars Pacey and J.J Abrams is at the helm. We'll see how well it goes. "Fringe" premieres tomorrow night with a 95-minute episode at 8 p.m. on FOX. Normal time will be 9 p.m.
Rich kids taking over The CW
We have "Gossip Girl" to blame for making spoiled rich kid shows successful. I'm not just talking about the horrible "90210" reunion, but also for this new show "The Privileged" starring Joanna Garcia ("Reba") and Anne Archer ("Fatal Attraction"). The show is based on the book "How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls."
Oh, Brother
Big Brother will evict two house guests this week. Tomorrow, September 9 at 8 p.m., the fate of one houseguest will be decided live on TV. Two days later, host Julie Chen will be on the normal show that will kick off yet another contestant. Thirteen strangers came into the house, with only four remaining. Dan, Memphis, Keesha, and Jerry will face off this week in these two live evictions.
ER is working backwards
Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Anthony Edwards will reprise his role as Dr. Mark Greene for a flashback episode of "ER." Greene died earlier in the series from complications of a brain tumor.
"We had hoped to bring back some of "ER"'s stars for the final season and think that our loyal fans will enjoy seeing some of the shows most beloved and memorable characters," said executive producer John Wells.
But bringing back characters in just a flashback, while explaining the back story of Angela Bassett's character seems a little strange. And where's George Clooney?
