Child's play
Coming home from school and showing one's parents homework as proof of hard work is not exactly exciting. That's why extra curricular activities exist, to showcase hard work in a performance matter that others can watch.
A.C. Gilbert House offers children ages 6-10 such an opportunity in their class entitled "On Stage," held at the museum from Jan. 14- Feb. 18 from 4-5 p.m.
In this interactive course, kids play theater games meant to improve creativity, imagination, concentration and performance skills. Marian Scadden from Cwerks teaches the course, and encourages families and friends to come by the final class to witness a performances created just for them.
Registration for this class is required. The cost for members is $36 and $50 for non-members.
