Morpheus to join C.S.I

With Gil Grissom out of the way, the C.S.I agents will be making a big decision. Will they take the red pill or the blue pill? Okay, maybe not. But Laurence Fishburne will be joining the cast of C.S.I, the Las Vegas edition, replacing Grissom's character. Grissom was always a great character, it will be exciting to watch Fishburne tackle this new role.

Olympic ratings

The Olympics on NBC continue to bring an audience in a big, bad way. What's shocking is that some TV analysts have called the ratings "American Idol" numbers. Is it sad that the world's athletes coming together for the ultimate sporting competition are compared to William Hung and his compatriots when it comes to ratings? I think so. With Michael Phelps out of the pool, big wigs in the TV industry are already bracing for impact on a decline in ratings. Sorry, athletes who come after Phelps, try to sing for Paula Abdul instead.

Rosario Dawson exclusively online

Rosario Dawson, the leading lady of "Sin City" and "Clerks 2" is heading for her own series broadcasting first on the Internet. She stars as Anna Diaz, an undercover New York City police officer. When she comes in contact with a bio-engineered life form, she gets thrusted into a covert military operation and a secret organization known as "Gemini Division." This might be the first major TV production to be done solely on the Internet first. With alternative distribution methods available and gaining in popularity, it will interesting to see how this run goes. "Gemini Division" starts today at geminidivision.com.
