Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii) (Purchase

This is the game that grandmothers will be buying in the upcoming holiday season. The box has the look and feel of a nonviolent game and colorful, popular characters on the cover. This is the first time ever that Mario and Sonic can be played in the same game. They are pitted against each other in a competition through the Olympic Games. Despite the wacky premise, the reviews are coming in positive.
Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War (Xbox 360, PS3) (Purchase

This game has continuously been compared to Dynasty Warrior, which can be a bad thing; after all, there's only so much button smashing that some folks can take. KOEI, the creators of Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and now Bladestorm, has decided to move the battle from Asia to Europe, where you can be a rogue commander that switches between the English and French empires. There are only a few games that count body stacks by the thousands, but KOEI continues to deliver them.
F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate (PC) (Purchase

This is the second storyline expansion to F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon). You can get both expansions together in the F.E.A.R Files bundle, also released on November 6. Players new to the series can jump right in with a new story.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX The Beginning of Destiny (PS2) (Purchase

The only previous generation console game to make the list, Yu-Gi-Oh continues to hold a strong fanbase. In this incarnation, players become transfer students at Duel academy, where they must duel to find a partner for the Tag Duel Tournament.
