The Vietnam Restaurant opened for business in March at 364 Center Street. Conveniently located downtown (across from Rite Aid), the restaurant features the Vietnamese beef and rice noodle soup Pho -- pronounced "fuh." They serve a number of variations on this dish of North Vietnamese origin. Appetizers, chow fun, chow mein and rice specials including lemon grass chicken or beef, as well as vegetarian entrees, complete the basic menu. The portions are generous and delicious, prices are very reasonable and the staff is personable. The Vietnam Restaurant is open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. and is closed Sundays. Info: (503) 581-1668
