McCain deserves the lack of attention he's getting.

Is anyone else getting tired of hearing about how the media loves Senator Barack Obama more than Senator John McCain? McCain's campaigns should remember that the more interesting story is going to be run and to put it bluntly, Senator McCain isn't all that interesting. When there is a spark of life from the McCain campaign, it is when he confuses Al Qaeda with the Iranians or when he decides to switch the timeframe on the Sunni Awakening with the U.S surge. Or when he makes it through the night without getting up to pee. There hasn't been much positive movement from the McCain campaign, bowel or otherwise.

McCain recently shifted from his conservative "no more taxes" vow, leaving his already iffy conservative base in a state of rebellion. Now he could possibly support a timetable for Iraq, despite his "100 years" reference. That's where the current news maelstrom is hitting. How about finding something positive to talk about? I'm tired of hearing how well the surge is working, how Obama's wrong on Iraq.

What's McCain going to do for us that is different? When will he know what he believes in? If he doesn't even know, why does the media respew it at the top of every hour?

Speaking of the Sunni Awakening, CBS has been accused of doctoring the interview that Katie Couric had with McCain. How many of Senator Obama's interviews have been edited to make him look more intelligent than he actually is? My guess is zero. Senator McCain has a bad habit of sticking his foot in his mouth and when Senator Joe Lieberman isn't available to whisper corrections in his ear, CBS pops in and helps him out.

The right seemingly has forgotten the hours of news coverage that Obama's former pastor received for comments taken out of context. They've also forgotten the follow-up aftermath and propaganda spread by the "terrorist fist jab," the reports of Obama in traditional Muslim dress, the flag pin and pledge situation, and false claims that Michelle Obama
participated in a sermon where she called causcasian people "crackers." The  overabundance of negative press on Obama is actually for reasons that were completely overblown by the media. Meanwhile McCain gets away with gaffe after  gaffe. Is it because he's old and didn't actually "mean" it? Or perhaps it's because he has no idea what's going on in the world. It seems the right's political consultants are sitting this one out and reaping the benefits of commentary positions at Fox News. I'm looking at you, Karl Rove.

Senator Obama is the more interesting candidate. He has something to say and whether you agree with him or not you want to listen to him. Senator McCain should take a page from Obama's book, especially if he wants to stand a chance in November.
