Marion County gets EarthWISE

Marion County's new EarthWISE Program is a free business environmental assistance program offered to all businesses in Marion County. The Business Assistance Program offers free resources and environmental consulting and provides assistance with waste reduction and prevention, recycling, environmentally preferable purchasing, outreach and education, water pollution prevention and conservation, and energy conservation. It also provides businesses with free resources such as recycling boxes, recycling stickers, recycling posters, employee training and environmentally preferable purchasing catalogs. All services are customized to meet the specific needs of the business.

The Certification Program recognizes businesses in Marion County that have made a commitment to environmentally friendly practices. Businesses that immediately or over time meet pre-established criteria will earn the EarthWISE Certification and   receive public recognition for their green practices.  

Businesses that have received  EarthWISE Certification are Advantage Precast Inc. (Keizer), Agri-Plas, Inc. (Brooks), AJ's Auto Repair, Inc. (Salem), DeSantis Landscapes Inc. (Salem), Marion County Public Works-Environmental Services Department (Marion County), Sabroso Company (Woodburn), and Willamette Ear, Nose, Throat and Facial Plastic Surgery, LLP (Salem).
