Doug Stamm, Executive Director of the Meyer Memorial Trust informed the City of Mount Angel that their trustees have granted $120,000 to the city to help finish the construction of the new community library and the outdoor learning center in downtown Mount Angel.The construction of the new 4,000 square foot facility with its outdoor learning center will fill the community's needs for a public library. It will provide a full range of library services for the citizens and will give the community a useful facility for many groups, organizations and individuals.
Project Manager for the Grant Construction Company, Brad Beyer said, "This grant ensures that we have adequate finances to bring the project to a most satisfactory conclusion. It is expected that the library and park will be substantially completed by Oktoberfest and ready for occupancy shortly thereafter."
