Auditions will take place in eight cities across the country. Once the top comics are chosen from each city, they will advance to the semi-finals where they will be narrowed down to the top 10 finalists who will go on to the final competition to become the Last Comic Standing.

Participants must be 18 years of age and present a 2-minute set for talent scouts. Since "Last Comic Standing" has chosen to ignore the Pacific Northwest, you'll need to travel to California to audition.

Several comedians have gone on to launch full-scale careers. Season 1 winner Dat Phan is working on his own comedy reality TV show and touring the country. Season 4 winner Josh Blue went from college circuit popularity to sold out shows nationwide. Sometimes not winning the show is enough to get. Rich Voss, who placed third in Season 1, landed a job on Colin Quinn's show and then Opie And Anthony's morning show. He also plays sold-out tours nationwide.
