"Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem"Hooray. An unrated version of the movie that no one watched. Imagine all of those hidden gems that will be available on high definition Blu-Ray and DVD. The aliens and predators are once again having problems solving their differences with diplomacy, so they take the human way of solving problems and try to kill each other. The Downside is all the poor little humans are stuck in the middle this time around.
"Before the Devil Knows You're Dead"
Sidney Lumet's latest film pits Phillip Seymour Hoffman against Ethan Hawke. They play brothers who have a plan to rob their parent's jewelry store. Of course, it all goes wrong. Versions are available on Blu-Ray as well as regular old DVD.
"I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With"
Jeff Garlin writes, directs and stars in this film about an overweight dude that deals with problems by eating. It's a romantic comedy, but just seemed a little sad to me. Sarah Silverman stars as his love interest, so maybe it's just the premise that is sad.
"In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale"
Uwe Bolls, the man of many horrible movies, has yet another horrible movie out of DVD. According to Bolls, if there are a million signatures on an Internet petition to stop him from making movies - he'll do it. It would be inappropriate to link to such a petition but it should be easy enough to find. Jason Statham starred in "In the Name of the King" along with other big names, like Burt Reynolds, Leelee Sobieski, Ron Perlman, John Rhys-Davies, and Claire Forlani.
"Juno"
The sleeper indie hit starring Ellen Page is ready for mass consumption. It is being released on Blu-Ray, as well as a special edition 2 disc version. Check out our full review at Juno brings teen pregnancy to DVD.
"Lars and the Real Girl"
A delusional guy buys a sex doll, not to have sex with but to have a deep and everlasting relationship with. And his friends go along with it as he hauls her to dinner parties treating her as though she's a real girl. The premise is weird, but it's had critical success despite a very quick theatrical release.
