Drink up
Though Oregon is fast becoming famous for its wine growing region, craft beer abounds, too. The Oregon Garden celebrates local breweries on April 23-24 as part of its weekend brewfest.
Specialty beers and full glass samples from over 30 hand-crafted brewers are available. There will be live blues music courtesy of Ty Curtis and food is also part of the festivities.
Local brewers include Thompson Brewery, Seven Brides Brewing, Pale Horse Brewing, Calapooia Brewing, Ninkasi Brewing and Widmer Brothers Brewing.
The cost is $15 which includes a commemorative mug. The event is open 4-11 p.m. on Friday and noon-11 p.m. on Saturday.

Easter Eats
Don't spoil dinner with that chocolate bunny. Bentley's Grill hosts an Easter Sunday brunch on April 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Whether one's preference is for breakfast or lunch, plenty of menu options are made for both. Bentley's brunch starts with sides. The breakfast side includes mini muffins, danish pastries, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, eggs Benedict, breakfast potatoes, and biscuits with country gravy. For lunchgoers, the buffet starts with salads including Caesar, broccoli, Northwest Waldorf and tortellini mushroom varieties, accompanied by bread.
There are four picks for the main dish. Entrees include fresh grilled salmon, chicken alfredo penne, roasted ham with applejack sauce, and carved roast sirloin with au jus. All are served with mixed spring vegetables and rice pilaf.
If that's not enough, dessert is offered, with choices such as cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, pies, and fruit bars.
The cost for this holiday brunch is $26.95 for adults, $22.95 for seniors, and kids 11 and younger cost $11.95. Reservations are recommended; call Bentley's at 503-779-1660 for further information.
