"Daddy Day Camp"

"Show me the money!"  That must be what Cuba Gooding Jr. said when he signed onto "Daddy Day Care" sequel. Eddie Murphy couldn't be lured back to play his character from the original. So Cuba takes over as Charlie and Paul Rae takes over as Phil (originally played by Jeff Garlin). Look for a rehashing of all the same jokes, but this time Cuba's eyes will be really wide when they happen. Maybe director Fred Savage was fantasizing about his "Wonder Years" love, Winnie while filming.

"The Invasion"

Every ten years or so Hollywood decides to make a new version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." This remake has a few twists -- the aliens can only steal the victim's body after hormones are released during REM sleep. Carol Bennell (Nicole Kidman) and Ben Driscoll (Daniel Craig) are fighting to stay awake, while trying to find a cure for the extraterrestrial disease.

"The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters"

Okay, fine. This isn't a mainstream movie, it's a documentary that was barely released in theaters and did not make it to this area at all. But it's critically acclaimed and, IMHO, one that everyone should see. Now that that's out of the way, "The King of Kong" is about a head-to-head competition in the video game Donkey Kong. Billy Mitchell has been the champion of the highest score for over 20 years. But newcomer Steve Wiebe claims that he has beaten him. The film documents the two as they compete for the title King of Kong.

"The Comebacks"

Oh, look! Another parody film. Thanks, Hollywood. "The Comebacks" is a parody of every sports movie you can think of. Down and out coach Lambeau Fields trains a rag-tag bunch of misfits and drives them towards the championships. Did you hear that? It's your DVD player screaming: AVOID!

"Bordertown"

Jennifer Lopez stars in this straight-to-dvd movie about a newspaper journalist who is sent to Juarez to investigate how the local police and authorities have been covering up the brutal rapes and murders of hundreds of women. Antonio Banderas and Martin Sheen co-star.

"Feel the Noise"

When an aspiring Harlem rapper Rob (played by Omarion) has a bad run in with local thugs, he flees to Puerto Rico, the home of Reggaeton. The blend of hip-hop-reggae and Latin beats inspire both him and his half brother to pursue their dream of becoming stars.
