For those who would enjoy a small adventure (and still make it home in time for a nightcap before bed), the Willamette Queen Sternwheeler offers two opportunities for dinner theatre this month. On June 8 and June 22, they present with their dinner cruise a short play titled "Pigs, Pineapple & Poison," a murder mystery with a luau theme.
The play centers around Jake -- a great guy by his own admission, who plans a fantastic employee party with his assistant, Maggie. But wait -- was that death scene planned? This two-person play is appropriate for both adults and children.
Reservationist Cassie Dunlap says, "It's really a lot of fun. Before the play begins, scripts are handed out to the audience, who can choose to participate or to just sit back and enjoy the performance. At the end, they get to vote for who they think `done it'!"
Performances begin at 7 p.m. For tickets and information, call (503) 371-1103 or go to www.willamettequeen.com.
