"Burn After Reading"

Brad Pitt and George Clooney star in a movie that does not have "Ocean" in the title. An added plus is John Malkovich in a Coen Brothers' movie. It seems as though this one is a little happier than the Coens' last outing "No Country for Old Men." "Burn After Reading" is labeled as a dark spy-comedy in which an ousted CIA agent (Malkovich) loses his memoir and it falls into the hands of two gym employees looking to make some dough off the find. It is rated R and is playing at Regal Movieland 7 and Regal Lancaster Mall Stadium 11.

"Righteous Kill"

Robert De Niro and Al Pacino star together in a film that opens the same week as a Pitt/Clooney collaboration. Pacino and De Niro hunt a vigilante whose crimes resemble those of a killer they put behind bars long ago. A good weekend for movie nerds, but early reviews of "Righteous Kill" may point out this one as the one to skip. There were allegedly big reshoots, which is never a good sign. "Righteous Kill" is rated R and is playing at Regal Movieland 7, Regal Lancaster Mall Stadium 11, Independence Cinema.

"The Women"

A group of friends, played by Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, and Jada Pinkett-Smith, have their relationship tested when their high celebrity lives are upset after one of their husbands cheat on them. There is practically no buzz for this film, so it'll be interesting to see if it can capture the "Sex in the City" audience that it is obviously appealing to. Although even "Sex in the City" had a hard time finding its niche. "The Women" is rated PG-13 and is playing at Regal Movieland 7, Regal Santiam 11, and Independence Cinema.

"Tyler Perry's the Family That Preys"

The burning question for this film is whether or not we get to see Tyler Perry dress up in drag, again. The answer is no. Sorry, Madea fans. Although the title makes it sound like a great horror film, the actual plot follows two matrons played by Kathy Bates and Alice Pratt on a road trip that they take to figure out all their family problems. The film is rated PG-13 and is playing at Regal Santiam 11.
