"Be Kind Rewind"

Excuse me while I nerd out for a minute. Jack Black in a Michael Gondry movie? The man behind my favorite movie of the last few years ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") is back with another semi-mainstream movie. When Jerry (Black)'s brain becomes magnetized, he unintentionally destroys every videotape in his friend (Mos Def)'s store. To satisfy the most loyal renter, the two men set out to remake the lost films. So we get to see Jack Black and Mos Def remake mini-versions of "Back to the Future," "The Lion King" and "Robocop." "Be Kind Rewind" is rated PG-13 and is playing at Regal Lancaster Mall Stadium 11.

"Charlie Bartlett"

Charlie Barlett is a teenage outcast, who is trying really hard to fit in despite his family's high financial status. The movie follows Bartlett as he tries to become a "psychiatrist" at school, listening to problems that his fellow students are having and then prescribing medicine to help them. Obviously this causes quite a stir when the adults find out, leaving the principal (Robert Downey Jr.) and Charlie's mom (Hope Davis) to unravel the mess. We have a full review of "Charlie Bartlett," click here.  "Charlie Bartlett" is rated R and is playing at Regal Lancaster Mall Stadium 11.

"Vantage Point"

"Vantage Point" is a political thriller that follows multiple points of view to expose who tried to assassinate the President of the United States. The story follows two secret service agents (Dennis Quaid and Matthew Fox), a tourist (Forest Whitaker) and a TV producer (Sigourney Weaver) in the minutes following the assassination attempt. "Vantage Point" is rated PG-13 and is playing at Regal Santiam 11, Regal Movieland 7, Independence Cinema.

Witless Protection

"WitLESS Protection" get it? They made a joke right off the bat about how Larry the Cable Guy is witless. Somehow Larry, complete with his cut-off sleeves, stumbles onto a conspiracy to keep a valuable witness out of court. So with corrupt FBI agents on his stinky tail, he's got to save the girl, along with belching and humping invisible things. Thank you, Larry the Cable Guy, a true American movie star.
