American Idol whittles down to the Top Twelve

Even support from VoteForTheWorst.com couldn't save poor Danny Noriega. Alas, he was sent home. He didn't have the greatest voice, but he was certainly the most entertaining one up there. And he had a wonderful sense of spontaneity. The American Idol audience was never entirely safe when Danny was on stage. Sanjaya sailed through to the Top Twelve. I thought for sure Danny, who actually sang on key every once in awhile would make it a little further.

Amanda Overmyer, VoteForTheWorst.com's other pick did make it through, although she takes herself way too seriously to be anywhere near as fun and entertaining as Danny.

The other boy to hit the road was Luke Menard, who treated us first to Queen and then Wham. What are you trying to tell us, Luke? He will not be missed in the competition; in fact he should have gone home a long time ago.

Finally, FINALLY we are relieved of Kady Malloy and her nightmarish performances. She really should have gone a long time ago, but better late than never. Off stage, she was a tigress; on stage she was a puddle of mud. Inexplicable. She'll make a great singing bartender somewhere.

Somehow Kristy Lee Cook has made it through to the Top Twelve, sending the fabulous Asia'h Epperson home way too soon. I had high hopes for Ms. Asia'h. She was one of the few bright spots in a long line of dull, homogeneous girls.

Now the group faces the big stage and a much bigger audience. I'm fairly certain that these circumstances will not help improve the performances of Kristy Lee Cook or Chikezie.

Your absolutely wrong about Kristy Cook.  She is beautiful, looks great on stage, moves well, performs well and is competing with that sickness that it is obvious she hasn't kicked yet.  When she is well (soon I hope) she will blow everyone away.  I have heard her perform, were in for a great surprise.  David he young and well rehearsed and what I see as to phony will still be the one to beat.
